Scabies is a most uncomfortable contagious rash that can make your skin become flaky and filled with spots. Here's how to get rid of the irritation.
Steps
- Consult with a dermatologist immediately.
- Ask for a special lotion for the rash.
- Change your blanket and wash all dirty clothes and sheets with bleach.
- Wash your skin thoroughly with soap detergent. Start the lotion treatment following that.
- Vacuum floors, carpets, and rugs.
- Disinfect floor and bathroom surfaces by mopping (this only needs to be done after the first treatment).
- Wash recently worn clothes, towels and bedding in hot water daily. Drying a hot dryer.
- Hot dry pillows for 30 minutes.
- Freeze stuffed animals, brushes, combs, shoes, coats, gloves, hats, robes, wetsuits, etc. overnight in a plastic bag
- Dryclean things that cannot be washed, hot dried or frozen or quarantined.
